T'was two days before Thanksgiving and all through AQ,

students filled boxes with canned goods and food.

Preparing to give to families in need,

Ms. Bills sprung to action and people paid heed.

Mission collections helped support the cause,

with dollar donations earning applause.

$1,309 was given in all,

by generous donors who answered the call.

Faculty and staff purchased turkeys and more,

and students made one last trip to the store.

Gift cards were purchased and baskets created,

and then the Peer Ministers sat down and waited.

Thirty-seven families expressed joy and surprise,

a heart warming sight that brought tears to the eyes.

AQ is all about goodness and sharing,

it shows in the way we go about caring.

And as this short story comes to an end,

we wish a blessed Thanksgiving to our families and friends.
