The Counseling Center will host Make It Count Presentations on February 24th

Parents are welcome to attend.

Class of 2010 - Making College & Career Count
Presentation time: 1:20pm-2:00pm


This workshop offers valuable perspective to high school seniors on how to:

• Cultivate the "Winning Characteristics" that colleges and employers look for.
• Prepare for a successful job interview.
• Build and protect their personal "brand."
• Manage the time available to them effectively.
• Maximize their academic performance.
• Network properly in order to maximize future career opportunities.
• Master their individual finances and avoid credit card debt.

The program shares the national success statistics for today's students – and stresses that every individual's post-high-school experience is unique. It shares fundamentals for success – things many college students know by senior year but wish they had understood earlier in the process.

Class of 2013 - Sexting : What You Need to Know
Presentation time: 1:20pm-2:00pm

Police Officer Bob Barton will present on the topic of "Sexting". This presentation will provide students with valuable information regarding the laws, consequences, responsibilities, etc…

Classes of 2011 & 2012 - Making Your College Search Count
Presentation time: 2:00pm-2:45pm

The program shows students that they are in control of their college search — and stresses that selecting a college is a personal process:

• Manage materials sent to them by colleges
• Focus their search based on their interests and needs
• Gather information on campus visits
• Understand how schools select students
• Utilize different types of financial aid to assist them in financing their education
• Create a personal college search that will lead them to the college that is the best match for them and where they will be the most successful
